Let me introduce myself...again

Last year I started a blog because my friend Lindsey talked me into it.  I must say that I have enjoyed reading other's blogs, but I have not taken to time to enjoy writing my own.  I posted to my blog about ten times out of the eight months it was alive.  Actually, I guess it's still alive out there in cyberspace.

But it's time to start a new blog.  I'm going into this project with the mindset that my blog will be a digital diary of the time I spend with my beautiful son, Brazos.  Yes, this blog will mainly feature all the joy Brazos brings into my life every day.  What do you expect from a stay-at-home mommy!

So here's a little about me, which may be all you ever hear of me.  My name is Bobbi Jo.  I was born in Houston, Texas and lived there until the winter of kindergarten.  In November of 1988, my family moved to Brenham, and this is where my roots have been planted deep.  I met my husband, Matt, while I was in the eleventh grade at Brenham High School.  We were actually in the same grade all through school; we just never had classes together.  Our first encounter was one day after school, when my cousin, his best friend at the time, asked me to talk this girl into dating Matt.  Obviously it didn't work out for them, but it sure worked out for me!  I didn't talk to Matt again, until he drove one of my grandpa's tractors in the Round Top Fourth of July Parade.  That day fireworks flew between us!  We dated for six years and were married in December of 2005.  I am a certified elementary/junior high teacher of math and science.  I taught at Burton Elementary for four and a half years and had extraordinary students whom I still keep in touch with.  Our son, Brazos was born in March of 2010, and ever since then I have stayed at home with him.  I feel that I am exactly where I am supposed to be, although I do enjoy the days I get to substitute teach in Burton.  I am blessed to have most of my family in the area, and I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child.

Okay, that's enough.  Maybe I'll share more another day.  Now let's talk about Brazos.  It's simple....HE'S AWESOME!

p.s.  I guess I should say something about my husband.  He is a machinest and quality control inspector at a small machine shop in Shelby.  He loves to be outside.  That's probably all he wants me to say.  The end.
